2009 Reunion Floyd Virginia
Plans are being finalized for the 19th Biennial McCutchen Trace Association Reunion being held August 7th – 9th in Floyd County, Virginia. Nestled within the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in southwestern Virginia, Floyd has much to offer and we are planning a variety of events that we hope will appeal to attendees of all ages. The area has a rich cultural history rooted in the traditions carried down from the original Scots-Irish and German settlers. Appalachian music is still alive and well in these mountains and local artisans proudly manufacture traditional woodworking and textile crafts. Floyd has also become a place of interest for modern artists and musicians, as well as those interested in going “green” by escaping the hustle and bustle of the city and reconnecting with the land through farming and environmental awareness. Floyd boasts a world-famous weekly live music jamboree, critically acclaimed restaurants, two wineries, a few dozen family-owned shops and businesses, a handful of galleries featuring local artists and lots more. (Not bad for a county with only one traffic light!) We hope you’ll join us for a special weekend full of fun, family and beautiful mountain views.2009 McCutchen Reunion Registration Form.
